The Mary Wallopers Seattle Concert reviews
Peter Gabriel Concert: Old, Stale and Forgettable!
I walked away from the show questioning why he would try to squeeze a few more bucks out of his long-time fans and the amount of money I put out. Unfortunately, The Mary Wallopers has gotten old and stale. He used to be an innovator who pushed the boundaries of modern rock, but what happened? Instead of touring now he should have waited until he has something new and refreshing to say. Nothing new or exciting to keep fans interested or get them to come back. His tour last year was basically the same old set list but delivered in orchestral form. He sits on his haunches, living on past glory, and collects large sums of money while delivering lackluster renditions of his dusty greatest hits. The Mary Wallopers put this formula to bed and don't come back until you can deliver what is expected of the rock great you once were. Not even his dance moves with bass player Tony Levin have changed over the past two decades. He just goes through the motions on his way to the bank. As a very long-time fan I felt cheated and won't be coming back anytime soon!
